The Pitch ‘n’ Talk event series went on for the 4th edition. This time, Wong Kai Yuen shared how TED talks have impacted his life and business.
Mr Wong, as he is affectionately called, is a wise and respectable veteran businessman who likes to share and impart knowledge and experiences to people around. He is especially passionate in sharing about food, education, business, economy and finance.
Pitch ‘n’ Talk #4 – TED Talks Worth Sharing was organized on 15th April 2014 in EcoGreen Organice Restaurant owned by Wong himself. Indeed, he has put his money where his mouth is by investing in an organic food store and leading the slow food movement.

The first hour of the event belonged to the speaker. Mr Wong shared and summarized the lessons learned from various TED talks including:
- Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity
- Richard St. John: Secrets of success in 8 words, 3 minutes
- Sirena Huang: An 11-year-old’s magical violin
- Hans Rosling: Global population growth, box by box
- Daniel Pink: The Puzzle of Motivation
- Seth Godin: How to get your ideas to spread
- Simon Sinek: How great leaders inspire action
- Don Tapscott: Four principles for the open world
- Mark Boyle: The Moneyless Man
In the second half, as usual, each of us responded to the topic and spoke up about ourselves. International trader Al Chan and single mother Mahua were selected as the pitch winners. They have been invited as speaker in the next Pitch ‘n’ Talk event.
We have had a great sharing and learning session together, thanks to Mr Wong and all participants!
