Power vs Force by Natalie Sylvia Chow

Dynamic NLP Group started its first peer learning event in May 2014. In the first event, our member Jonathan Gan shared lessons learned from the book called The Definitive Book on Body Language. In the same session, Natalie Sylvia Chow was chosen by the group to be the speaker in next event.

One month later on 20th June 2014, we met again to listen to Natalie’s sharing on the book called Power vs Force. 12 of us gathered around a long table in The Loaf restaurant in Bangsar Village II.

The book is about kinesiology, the scientific study of human behavior. Natalie showed us the  “map of consciousness” to analyze our behaviors, and from there the hidden determinants of success were demonstrated.

Natalie spoke for about 1 hour, with interactive demonstration showing the premises of the book. We were all amazed by the principles and assertions of the study on our behaviors and so success or lack of it in life.

The the second segment of the event, everyone shared something in relation to the topic, and also related to his or her own life and situation. The group chose Swagata Sinha Roy as the next speaker.

The sharing by Natalie was so powerful that good comments came in after the event. In the words of Roy, she said it’s a “totally power packed and a great learning experience. Thank you Natalie and thank you all. Guess now we have to change the usual phrase to “May the Power be with You.” Here’s to compassion & gratitude!”
